Average Rate in Flip and Customer Care Site

As a company dedicated to enhancing your trading experience, we endeavor to find new ways of providing you with more clarity in your trading platform. In this regard, we would like to inform you about a change in arriving at the average rate in FLIP trading terminals under 'Portfolio' and in the 'Profit and Loss statement' of our customer care site. The current calculation takes into account the intraday trades and adjusts this to your previous average rates. Henceforth, we will avoid the Intraday trades in arriving at the average rate. Instead, these trades will be shown as 'Realized Profit/Loss'.

This change will be effective from 06.06.2011 in your 'Profit and loss' statement. Subsequently the same average rate will reflect in your "Average rate" column of FLIP trading terminals against shares marked in Product "Cash" under Portfolio. Please note that the 'Profit and Loss' statement needs to be manually updated by you for shares received through off 'Market transfers', 'Right issues' and 'IPO allotments'.

This can be done through the 'Edit portfolio' option available in the Profit and Loss statement of Geojit Customer Care site.
